Why does Primal Carnage stutter during map resource loading?

I felt totally robbed of immersion in Primal Carnage; every time a new map resource loaded, my Kioxia EXCERIA PLUS G3 would spike, causing jarring stutters. I first tried enabling write caching in Windows Disk Management, but it did nothing for read stutters and actually risked system crashes. I then used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to bump the queue depth from 32 to 128.
