How to fix CPU throttling on PCCOOLER RT620 ARGB in Unknown 9?
Whenever I hit a fast dash, the screen just freezes for a weird 15-30ms. The stock fan profile on the PCCOOLER RT620 ARGB is way too lazy, staying at 1100 RPM until it hits 75℃, which means the heat just piles up during spikes and triggers a CPU downclock. I tried switching to the High Performance power plan in Windows, but while the clock speeds looked better, my cores were still screaming at 90℃+. It was clear that software tweaks can't fix a physical cooling bottleneck, which was honestly frustrating. I eventually dove into the BIOS fan control and set up a stepped curve, cranking the speed to 1600 RPM the moment it hits 70℃, and enabled Full Speed mode. Checking HWMonitor, the peak temps dropped from 92℃ to a much safer 76-82℃, and those stutters totally vanished. At first, the fans sounded like a vacuum cleaner, but after dialing back the 85℃+ ceiling to 1400 RPM, it hit a sweet spot. Now temps sit around 72-78℃ and frame times are a smooth 5.1-6.4ms. It's a bit loud, but the stability is worth it.
