Solving VRAM thermal throttling on Manli Snow Fox RTX 5070 in Manor Lords?
It's honestly ridiculous. I have a 5070, and it's still lagging after two hours of play because of VRAM heat. The GDDR7 on the Manli Snow Fox runs incredibly hot when processing huge city models, causing the core clock to bounce wildly between 1500-2100MHz. I tried updating the drivers, but that actually made the stuttering worse—a complete disaster. I went into the control panel, set power management to 'Prefer Maximum Performance,' and used a third-party tool to lock the fans at 90% once it hits 75℃. In an OCCT VRAM stress test, I ran it for 6 hours with zero errors, and my minimums jumped from 30 to 55 FPS. The fans had a slight vibration at full blast, but I fixed that by adjusting the case exhaust pressure. Now VRAM is at 72-78℃ and the core is at 65-71℃. I've saved the profile, and the game finally feels responsive. It's a bit of a struggle to keep it cool, but it works.
