GamePP Frequently Asked Questions

"Game controller button latency monitoring and optimization: ① Go to 「Peripheral Management」-「Game Controllers」, select the connected controller (e.g., Xbox Series Controller, PS5 Controller), and view 「Button Latency」 data (e.g., 「5ms」); ② Optimization methods: a. Use a wired connection to reduce wireless latency; b. Access controller settings and disable non-essential features like 「Vibration Feedback」; c. If latency is high, update the controller firmware."

 It supports data monitoring for some external graphics card docks. Operation steps: 1. Ensure the external dock is properly connected to the computer and recognized by the system; 2. Open GamePP settings and go to the "Hardware Monitoring" module; 3. If the software displays the dock's graphics card info normally, monitoring is possible; 4. If no data shows, update graphics drivers and try again; 5. Some models may not support full data monitoring. It is recommended to choose highly compatible external docks for normal monitoring functionality.  

It supports displaying temperature for some external hard drives. Methods: 1. Connect the external hard drive to the computer via data cable; 2. Open the GamePP monitoring interface and switch to the "Hard Drive" module; 3. If the drive supports SMART, the software will display its temperature normally; 4. If no temperature shows, confirm if the model is compatible with the software; 5. Updating computer USB drivers helps with drive status recognition. It is recommended to use SMART-supported external drives for more complete monitoring data.  

Currently, it does not support direct detection of mechanical keyboard key latency, but indirect observation is possible: 1. Open GamePP monitoring to view CPU usage and input latency data; 2. Use specialized keyboard latency testing software for comprehensive judgment; 3. Ensure the mechanical keyboard drivers are updated to the latest version; 4. Close unnecessary background programs to reduce system resource usage and lower input latency; 5. If key latency issues are severe, consider replacing the keyboard. It is recommended to combine multiple tools for accurate detection.  

It does not directly display Bluetooth headset battery levels, but related info can be obtained as follows: 1. Ensure the Bluetooth headset is properly connected to the computer system; 2. Check the battery in the Windows taskbar Bluetooth device list (requires headset support); 3. GamePP can monitor CPU and GPU usage to help determine if headset latency relates to hardware load; 4. For headsets without system battery display, use the manufacturer's companion software. It is recommended to use system tools alongside to check headset status for optimal experience.
