My GW3300 512GB is maxed out and causing slow scene transitions in Metaphor: ReFantazio, will disabling services help?

It's honestly a joke trying to run modern games on such a cramped drive; it's like a stress test for the hardware. The stuttering was so bad that loading screens felt like a slideshow. I found that when the Great Wall GW3300 512GB drops below 10% free space, write speeds crash to 200 MB/s. I tried lowering the graphics settings, but that did absolutely nothing for the load times, which was just annoying.
