Is the Valkyrie V360 MERLIN causing hotspots in Titanfall 3?
Whenever I'd boost my Titan at high speeds, the screen would hitch for a fraction of a second. That kind of thermal-induced anxiety is a nightmare in a fast-paced shooter. The Valkyrie V360 MERLIN pump had a weird 12-18ms response lag in default mode, and the CPU core delta was insane, with a 22℃ difference between the hottest and coldest cores. I tried cranking the fans to max, but the core temps just hovered around 88-92℃, which told me I had air bubbles trapped in the rad. I ended up tilting the entire chassis at a 45-degree angle for ten minutes to bleed the air and manually locked the pump speed to 100% in the BIOS. My monitoring software showed the core delta quickly shrinking to 8-12℃, and the stutters basically vanished. I almost pinched a tube during the tilting process, which had me panicking until I re-managed the cables and confirmed there were no leaks. Now temps stay between 65-72℃. Stress tests show heat transfer is back to normal, and the controls feel snappy again.
