S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Texture Lag
Sneaking through the Zone, I noticed distant vegetation loading like a mosaic, which is basically a death sentence in a survival game. I tried enabling Extreme Performance mode in the BIOS, but my drive spiked to 75℃ per HWMonitor and started thermal throttling immediately. I switched to GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to set the random read queue to 64 and tweaked the write cache flush. Now, 4K random reads hit 78-84MB/s via CrystalDiskMark, and temps stabilized at 52-55℃ per GamePP.
